One Lovely Blog Award!

To be considered lovely by anybody is just lovely, isn’t it?

So, I am overjoyed to accept the One Lovely Blog Award for a physical perspective from my charming friend Kristi over at Biscuits & NAVY. Kristi is an adorable fashionista with a knack for fun and elegant wardrobe combinations. Check her out!

I would like to thank all of my beautiful followers out there for your continued support and enthusiasm. You are beyond lovely.

Recently, my little blog surpassed 100 followers! Here’s the celebratory happy dance in case you missed it.

To accept, I must say 7 things about myself:

  1. My goal is to write 10 books in the next 10 years. There, I said it. Now I have to do it!
  2. One of those books is probably going to be about pirates. I thought they were cool long before the Pirates of the Caribbean movies came out.
  3. I can’t resist dark chocolate with sea salt. It rocks my world.
  4. I shudder when people crack their knuckles. By Golly, I even shudder just thinking about it.
  5. Lost In Translation is one of my favorite movies. A lot of people said they didn’t get it. I got it, and thought it was spectacular.
  6. I look like a clown when I wear lipstick, so I usually avoid it altogether.
  7. No matter what is happening in the world, I continue to believe in humanity. The power of positive thinking is always enough.

I would like to nominate the following bloggers for the One Lovely Blog Award (please note…the categories below are only a guideline; several of these blogs cover multiple topics.):

Writing

Travel & Food

Photography & Design

  1. Congratulations! I look forward to your novel on Pirates πŸ™‚ (I too look like a clown in lipstick and was delighted to hear that I’m not the only one!)

    1. Yeah, I feel like the pirate craze has already died down quite a bit, so it will be safe to write about that idea without looking like I latched onto the Caribbean franchise teat!

I’m glad I’m not the only lipstick clown…LOL.

  2. Congrats!!! Your lovely blog deserves it!!! and WOW! 10 books! good luck with it and are you going to publish the books? the pirates story sounds extremely interesting!!!!

    1. Thanks so much! Yes, I am planning on self-publishing unless some big publisher comes knockin’ on my door. I just published my first book last week and the next one should be out later this year if all goes well. And, who doesn’t love pirates, right? Aargh!

    1. You are most welcome! Here are the exact rules to accept the award on your blog: thank the person who gave it to you (me : )) and link to their blog, reveal 7 things about yourself, and nominate 15 other blogs for the award. I think I only nominated 13, and other times I have done less. Just depends how many people you follow. Congrats!

  3. Good luck, 10 books in 10 years is totally doable! Hard, but doable! Just focus on the book, not the quantity. If it takes longer than you expected, don’t try rushing it. I had deadlines which I mistook for goals and missed most of them.

By the way, thanks for the nod, I always appreciate it when my blog gets noticed. You’re not only lovely, but fabulous as well!

P.S. I feel like a clown in lipstick too! I use lipgloss or chapstick instead πŸ™‚

    1. Totally. 10 books is my current goal, but if things don’t pan out, I will definitely not sacrifice quality!

Thank you for the compliments. I, too have only used chapstick for many, many years to avoid the circus chic makeover. ; )
